The short earthquake this night (around 1-2am) and the heavy snow right now, kind of take my happy mood for spring clothes.
But!
Here my second idea for the winter-spring-gap, featuring denim, leather and red. I wondered a while back, when I purchased the red leather skirt of Dolce & Gabbana, if I wear it more frequently.. honestly, I am glad I bought it here. Because in fact, I did.
Japanese people seem to avoid wearing Jeans. If I should take a guess, maybe 15% of the visible Tokyo population wears jeans. It doesn't matter wether it snows or not - women stick with their skirt. I really appreciate that, coming from a country where over 59% of women wear Jeans only....
Looking at the pictures, I realized, how thankful I am for modern production techniques.
Once the color red ("purpur") was marked for kings and queens, for the nobleness, partially because the production of red color was too expensive. Due to a chemical mistake by Perkin, he put down the headstone for synthetic production of colors and made it possible, that we nowadays wear more than natured colored clothes.
What do you think ?
